How Can I Get My RAM to Run at Full Speed?

I just built my PC and everything seems to be functioning well, but I can't get my RAM to perform at its full speed of DDR5-6000. Here are my specs: I'm using a Ryzen 9 9950X processor, paired with a Gigabyte Aorus X870 Elite motherboard, and I've got Corsair DDR5-6000 RAM with a total of 128 GB. I also have an Intel Arc B580 GPU. If anyone can guide me on how to overclock the RAM and achieve the advertised speed, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

Just a heads up, the Ryzen 9 9950X officially supports only certain RAM speeds based on how many sticks you have. For example, with 4 sticks installed, your max might be limited to around 3600 MHz, even if your RAM is rated higher. You might not get full speed with all 4 sticks installed.

If you're using 4 RAM sticks, that's likely your issue. At 5600 MHz, you might face crashes too. It's worth experimenting to find a sweet spot, maybe try running fewer sticks if possible, or lower the speed to see if it stabilizes the system.

Yup, I've got 4 sticks too, and even hitting 5600 hasn't worked for me. Any recommendations on what speed might give the best performance without crashing?

Have you enabled XMP in your BIOS? That's usually the first step to unlocking the full potential of your RAM. You might also want to check if there's an alternative to Intel's XMP for AMD, which is sometimes labeled as EXPO. Give that a try!

I heard AMD systems tend to use EXPO if you can find it in the BIOS settings. Might be worth a shot!

I tried that setting, but I still hit some crashes. Any other suggestions?
