Hey everyone! I'm using Fedora Cinnamon 42, and Nemo is my go-to file manager. I've got this massive collection of movies, but I'm finding it pretty frustrating that titles starting with 'The' are all grouped together in the sort order. For example, it sorts movies like this:
- Batman (1966)
- The Abyss: Special Edition (1989)
- The Batman (2022)
I feel like it messes up the browsing experience a bit, as alphabetical order isn't perfect when everything with 'The' is bunched up. Is there a way to set Nemo to skip sorting titles with 'The' at the beginning?

Unfortunately, it seems that most file managers (including Nemo) don’t have the ability to ignore certain words while sorting. I’ve come across similar feature requests in the past for other file explorers like Dolphin or Nautilus too. A workaround could be to rename your files by moving 'The' to the end so they sort the way you want, like 'Abyss, The' or 'Batman, The'. It’s not perfect but helps a bit!

That's actually a solid idea! I've been using that method and it helps a little.
