My grandmother, who's 89, accidentally locked herself out of her iPhone. She mentioned that her facial recognition stopped working, and after entering the wrong passcode too many times, she's now locked out for 6 hours. The tricky part is she doesn't remember her Apple account info, which makes things even harder. I've tried to reset her password using my phone, but since she can't access the email associated with her account, we're stuck. Plus, she physically can't go to the Apple Store for assistance, and they won't help me since the account is under her name. Is there any other way for me to help her get back into her phone? She just wants to make calls and use GPS; she doesn't mind losing any data.

You need to regain access to her Apple ID first. Check out iforgot.apple.com to reset the password; you can use her phone number for that if needed. Once you've reset it, you can connect the phone to a computer and reset the phone itself, then log back into the Apple account afterward. Unfortunately, the Apple Store might not be any help in this situation, as they'll likely just confirm what I mentioned.
So the phone is basically trash?

Ugh, neither of us have a computer and it is logged into an Apple account.
