How can I help my mom transition from Windows to Linux?

My mom has been asking if she can use my laptop since our family computer is often occupied by my dad for work. I previously let my sister use it until she saved up for her own. However, my mom isn't very tech-savvy and often just clicks around in settings when she runs into trouble, which usually leads to her giving up. I'm currently using EndeavourOS with a tiling window manager called Sway, which I feel might be too complicated for her. I'm considering switching to Cinnamon as a more familiar interface, and maybe using a different login manager, like ly, but I'm not sure if that's the best choice. I also want to know how to explain the differences between Windows and Linux, as she doesn't really understand what an operating system is or the concept of distributions. Lastly, is there a comprehensive cheat sheet or guideline for Linux or general computer use that I can give her? I'm surrounded by tech-savvy folks, so I sometimes forget that basic knowledge isn't universal.

It might be a good idea to install something user-friendly like Ubuntu or Mint for her. They have a more familiar interface for someone coming from Windows, which could make the transition smoother. Plus, they have great community support if she needs help!

But she doesn't have her own PC, and dual-booting might be tricky on yours, right? That's understandable.
