I'm trying to port forward my Wi-Fi so I can get a better NAT type for playing on my Wii U, but it seems like nothing's working; I'm still stuck with a type C/Strict NAT. Currently, I'm using a range extender because my main router is in another room, and the router brand is Eolo. I once managed to use a VPN hotspot, which helped, but I don't want to rely on that for gaming. Is there anything else I can do to improve my NAT type?

It sounds like you're running into issues because your range extender is likely causing double NAT. You should log into your range extender's web interface—usually, you can find the login details online—and look for settings labeled 'bridge mode' or turn off the DHCP server. That can help resolve the NAT issues you're facing.
Make sure you check if you're on CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT), even if you're port forwarding. If you're under CGNAT, it won't make a difference. That might be your problem right there!
Just a heads up: if you're still experiencing problems, port forwarding might not do much if there's CGNAT involved, no matter how well everything is set up. Try looking into that first.
