I've got this bulky Acer PC, and I've noticed that after about 30 minutes of gaming, my room heats up significantly, almost like a sauna. My air conditioning isn't cutting it because the thermostat is located in a different room. During winter, I could just open the window to cool things down, but now it's summer, and that isn't an option. I'm considering getting a standalone air conditioning unit that can vent the heat out through my door since my window setup isn't compatible with conventional designs. I'm looking for suggestions and solutions that others have found helpful regarding this issue. Thanks!

Honestly, the most effective solution is to decentralize the heat source. If your setup allows it, consider relocating the PC to another room where it won’t heat your space directly. That way, you can keep gaming without the sauna effect!
A box fan can be a quick fix to help with air circulation in and out of your room. Also, think about enhancing your PC’s efficiency to reduce heat output. As for venting an AC unit through the door, I’d double-check that since it might not be very effective. If your windows can open, you might find a venting unit that fits; otherwise, I get your frustration!

1. I could try a box fan, but I usually keep my door shut.
2. The PC needs to perform at its best for more than just gaming.
3. I was thinking of designing a custom exhaust attachment for the AC that fits under my door. Sounds impractical, but it’s an idea!
