I recently updated a game and received a message stating that I need graphics card support for OpenGL 4.5.0 or newer. After checking, I found that my Intel(R) HD graphics 520 (128 MB) should be compatible if fully updated. However, when I ran the Intel driver & support assistant, it told me "No supported driver or software updates are available for your system," even though I see that my graphics driver version is 21.20.16.4550, which seems outdated. My game has been lagging after the update, and I suspect it's due to the driver issue. I'm using a Lenovo 80TL laptop. My question is: can I manually update my graphics driver, or is my system just too old to receive updates? Thanks, and sorry if this is a stupid question; I'm not very tech-savvy! 🙈

You can definitely go straight to the Intel website, search for your specific graphics chip, and download the latest driver from there. Just ensure you're picking the right version for your Windows system. It should install over your old one without any issues, but it's always a good idea to check if you need to uninstall the current driver first. Sometimes, the installer manages it all for you! Good luck!

Thanks! Do I need to uninstall my current driver before installing the new one?
