How Can I Print Directly from Google Sheets Without PDF Downloads?

I'm having a frustrating issue where I can't print directly from Google Sheets while using Firefox. Instead, every time I try to print, it forces me to download a PDF first, which is cluttering my downloads folder with files I don't want. I want to be able to print directly to my printer without this hassle.

Here's what I've tried so far:
- Disabled the 'Microsoft Print to PDF' option in the Control Panel.
- Removed the PDF option from my Printer & Scanner settings.
- Cleared saved print settings through 'about:support'.
- Updated my printer and my PC, and restarted after making these changes.

I also made sure that my default printer is set to the actual printer I use, and I'm connected to the same Wi-Fi as my printer. So it feels like Google Sheets isn't cooperating. Any suggestions?

To add to this, if you’re printing directly from Google Sheets, you definitely should have a dropdown to choose your printer. If you're not seeing that option in Firefox or Safari, that's a known limitation. Switching to Chrome or a Chromium-based browser should solve the problem and let you print directly without those PDF steps.

While it might be annoying to print via PDF, some folks find it actually leads to more consistent formatting on printouts, particularly for documents that include various web formatting. But if you really want to avoid that, definitely try switching browsers, as Chromium ones handle it much better for Google Sheets.

Double-check your printer settings in Windows 11 or the Control Panel in Windows 10. Sometimes, just setting your physical printer as the default isn’t enough. Also, when you're about to print, do you see a drop-down menu where you can select the printer? If it doesn't allow you to change it from PDF to your actual printer, it might be a browser limitation.

It sounds like you're really hitting a wall with that! This PDF thing is a common issue with Firefox and Safari. Have you tried using Chrome or Edge instead? Those browsers usually let you print directly to your printer without forcing a PDF download.
