I have my Apple ID and password, which I need to unlock my Apple Watch that's locked to the owner. However, when I try to reset my account at iforgot.apple.com, it prompts me for a trusted phone number that I no longer have access to because my old phone was wiped. I've reached out to Apple Support but still haven't gotten any help. How can I reactivate my account without the trusted number?

When you initiate account recovery, it’s a two-step process. First, they'll evaluate your details which can take 24-72 hours. Keep an eye on the email they send you after. During the wait, make sure you follow Apple’s guidelines, like turning off any other devices signed into your account, or it could cancel the recovery process.
Exactly! I'm worried about that too. Can we still recover access if we miss it?
To start the account recovery process, go back to iforgot.apple.com. Enter your Apple ID, and when it asks for the trusted number, look for an option that says you didn't receive the code. This may allow you to switch to using your current number instead.
But what if I can't see that 'didn't get code' option? I've only gotten stuck at the step asking for the old number.
Yeah, I'm having the same problem. I don't see any options regarding not having access to the trusted number.

That seems complicated! What if I miss the text or call they send on the final day?
