I'm in a bit of a crisis and really need some help. I accidentally deleted a bunch of text messages from one contact on my iPhone, specifically texts from March 1st to March 31st, 2026. I've checked my iCloud backup and have tried some recovery apps, but I still can't find those messages. I know there were about 300-400 texts during that time. I've managed to retrieve texts from other dates, but those few days are completely missing! I'm even considering getting my phone professionally diagnosed, as I have to get those messages back. Any advice would really help!

Have you checked your 'Recently Deleted' folder in Messages? If it was iMessages, unfortunately, your carrier can't help retrieve them. You might find something there or on another Apple device if you sync messages across them.
Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t save your text messages, and neither do carriers. If you don’t have a backup that includes those messages, it’s likely they’re gone for good. If you use iMessages in the cloud, deleting a message from one device removes it from all your devices simultaneously. You could check if there's an old backup saved somewhere, though! Here’s a support link for reference: https://support.apple.com/en-ie/108770.
Make sure you really checked your backups! Normally, messages should be saved in iCloud, but if you delete them, they aren’t restored automatically. The syncing feature is meant to keep everything updated across devices. If you did have a backup prior to deletion, a full restore might bring them back.
Just a heads up, if you delete something from your devices, it syncs with the cloud. So, losing messages means they're probably gone unless you have a backup from before you deleted them. Try looking in the Recently Deleted section; if it’s been over 30 days since you deleted them, they might be lost forever.
