Hey everyone, I'm really in a bind here and could use some help. I've got two older Apple devices—an iPod Touch 5 and an iPhone 4—both running iOS 9.3. Unfortunately, they're stuck on the iCloud Activation Lock screen because my old Apple ID got locked by Apple. After several calls to support and countless hours trying to regain access, they just told me there's nothing they can do.
The main issue is that because of the iCloud lock, I can't get past the Home screen. I attempted to use iMazing to recover my data, but it won't let me extract my Messages or Notes due to the lock. I really need to access these messages and notes since they hold valuable photos, videos, and personal memories that I can't retrieve anywhere else.
Does anyone know a way to recover messages or notes from these iCloud-locked devices running iOS 9? I'm just trying to recover my own data and would be super grateful for any tips, tools, or experiences you can share!

I know this is frustrating! I can't post my photos here for privacy concerns, but if you share what you've tried so far, maybe we can brainstorm together. Some tools might allow you to recover certain data even when locked, especially if they had backup options set up beforehand.
Consider checking forums or communities dedicated to iOS recovery. There are sometimes creative solutions that users have shared about getting around these locks. Just proceed with caution to avoid further issues!
You might want to look into forensic recovery options. Since your iPhone 4 is pre-full filesystem encryption (which began with the iPhone 4S), there could be tools out there that can help, assuming the devices are not completely wiped. It's worth exploring but may come at a cost. Reach out to data recovery specialists for more details!
Totally get that! I just need to ensure it’s safe before I jump into anything.

That sounds promising! But isn't there a risk of data loss or damage during that process?
