I'm currently dealing with a lawsuit where the person suing me is lying about our previous interactions. Fortunately, I can disprove their claims using old WhatsApp messages, but the issue is that these messages date back to 2022, and I had a different phone and number back then. I'm trying to access these backups, but while my Drive account shows one backup, I can't seem to retrieve it. Is there a way to find or recover these past chats?

If you still have access to your old Android phone, you could try reinstalling WhatsApp and logging in with the previous backup. Just remember to back up your current chats first so you can switch back if needed! That's what worked for me once.
Have you tried reaching out to WhatsApp support? They might be able to provide you with better guidance on recovering your old messages.
But what if that backup isn't from 2022, but just a recent one? That's my concern.
