I was helping a friend clean out their PS3 disc drive because it was having reading issues. Unfortunately, while using compressed air, the straw accidentally got pushed into the drive! Now it's lodged inside, and I'd prefer not to take the whole thing apart to get it out. The entry point has these tiny felt flaps, making it difficult to see or remove the straw with tweezers. I can even hear it making contact with the disc when I try to run a game. Can anyone suggest a tool or method to extract the straw without major disassembly?

Honestly, if you're struggling, you might want to think about getting a new drive. It could save you a lot of hassle in the long run!
Have you considered using a long toothpick or a thin piece of wire? You might be able to carefully maneuver it sideways into the straw to pull it out.
Good idea! I’ll definitely try to use something like that to reach in and grab it.
Maybe you could try using some sticky tape? If you can get a thin strip in there, it might catch the straw. Just be careful with those felt flaps, they're a bit tricky!
That could work! I’ll need to find something equally thin to slip in there. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, I figured that might be an option, but I'd rather try to fix this first.
