Is this gaming PC build good for my $1100 budget?

I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC since my old one built in 2012 can't run Windows 11 anymore. I'm mostly into retro and indie games, but I want a new rig that can handle modern titles and last a decent amount of time. I'm not too familiar with what's good these days, so I've put together a build on PCPartPicker and would love to get some feedback on it. Here's the link to my current parts list: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hnH7xg](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hnH7xg). Are there any major issues or improvements I should consider? Thanks in advance!

If you can spare an extra $4, grab the Assassin King cooler instead. You get much quieter performance for just a bit more cash. Also, consider going for a CL30 RAM kit; it’s only a few bucks more and worth the boost in performance. As for the 5070, I wouldn’t recommend it if you're aiming for a long-lasting PC. Going with the 9070 base model for $600 might be a better choice for future-proofing, especially with its superior performance in ray-traced games. That extra VRAM will definitely make a difference over the years!

Thanks for the great advice! I tinkered with my build based on several suggestions and here's my updated listing: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/p66pTM](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/p66pTM). I'm still thinking about the 9070 - any particular model you'd recommend?

Looks like you've made some good tweaks! I ended up going with a bigger air cooler and dropped down to the 7600X for my build. I also switched to CL30 RAM, which has helped. For the 5070, I'd recommend the Asus TUF model; it offers great performance for the price right now!

Awesome suggestions! I didn’t realize which model of the 5070 was best, so that’s super helpful. I also had my eye on the 9600X, but questioning if it was worth the extra $15; do you think it’s a solid choice?
