I found a folder on my computer with an invalid Windows name (AUX) that seems to be harboring malware. I can't delete it even in safe mode through the Command Prompt, and while Bitdefender detects it, it won't remove the folder. Whenever I try any other antivirus software, it closes immediately. I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve having to completely reinstall Windows.

Have you tried booting into advanced repair mode or using the command prompt to delete the folder? Sometimes you can bypass the malware's defenses this way.
You might want to create a Linux Mint bootable USB. Boot from that, access your Windows partition, and delete the folder manually. Just be careful not to mess with any important Windows system files! After that, install ClamAV to scan your system for any remaining threats and then back up your files. If it still doesn't work, you could consider reinstalling Windows once everything is secured.
That sounds pretty complex for most users. Why not try Kaspersky Rescue Disk or Bitdefender's antivirus rescue options? They're generally easier to use for malware removal.
