How Can I Remove Malware That Seems Embedded In My Hardware?

I think my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet might have some sort of malware. I can boot into safe mode and even access the BIOS, but I still see the hacker controlling my computer, moving the mouse and clicking on things. I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of this malware without replacing any hardware. Has anyone dealt with something like this?

If the hacker is still controlling your computer while you're trying to wipe it, it might just be a glitch with your touchscreen or mouse. Have you tried disconnecting peripherals or disabling the touchscreen temporarily? Checking for any hardware damage or other issues might be a good next step.

First off, how did you come to the conclusion that there's malware embedded in your hardware? That's pretty rare. If you truly wiped your drives and reinstalled Windows, that usually gets rid of most malware. If that didn't help, it may be a hardware issue instead, like a malfunctioning touchscreen.

It sounds like you're jumping to conclusions! Can you share more symptoms? Is the cursor moving randomly or clicking specific things? Sometimes, with older devices, touchscreen issues can mimic a hacker's control, especially if it's worn out. Have you considered that as a potential explanation? It might be time to think about upgrading if this is the case.
