I'm stuck trying to remove the activation lock on my Apple Watch after I forgot to erase my old Apple ID before resetting it for my new phone. The old Apple ID is mine, but I no longer use it and can't remember the password. I don't want to guess the old passcodes for fear of getting locked out even more. I've already submitted a request to have the lock removed, but unfortunately, it got denied. I have the receipt, serial numbers, and proof of ownership, but I'm not sure what else Apple needs from me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Your best bet might be to try to recover your old Apple ID. You can check Apple’s site for ID recovery options. Once you access it, you should be able to remove the ID from the watch. After that, you can reset it with your new account. Just a heads up, though—this usually involves contacting Apple support directly, so be ready to provide any proof they ask for.
It sounds like there could be an issue with the receipt or the serial number not matching up, or maybe the watch is in lost mode. Did Apple provide a specific reason for denying your removal request?
I would suggest contacting Apple Support for this issue. They might have more detailed steps you can follow or could help you directly. It can be frustrating, but sometimes dealing with them leads to a resolution!

They said, 'We weren’t able to complete your request to remove Activation Lock for this device. We won’t be able to review additional requests or documentation associated with this device.'
