I just found my old gaming laptop from about five years ago and was excited to play some classic games. However, when I turned it on, I hit the password screen, and my little brother, who I think changed it, can't remember the password. I've tried several guesses without success. I attempted a factory reset, but it required a password, and I had issues with internet connectivity too. Is there any way to reset the password on a laptop running Windows 11? I would really appreciate any help!

You might want to try using Hiren's Boot CD. It's a tool that can help you disable the password. All you need to do is create a bootable USB drive with it and boot from there, which should help you bypass the password issue.
If your laptop prompts for a password, another option is to create a new Windows USB stick and do a fresh install. Just make sure to back up anything important if you can, since this will erase everything on the device. You can grab the Windows 11 installer from the official Microsoft site.
Just so you know, laptops often have a recovery partition, but installing a new version of Windows 11 will completely wipe your old data. If you don’t care about the files anyways, a fresh install might be the easiest route for you.
