Best Free Options for a Basic Business Website?

I'm looking to create a very simple informational page for my business. Are there any platforms that offer a free basic design tool, free domain space (with the possibility of a customizable subdomain), and maybe even a free email client for at least one address?

Instead of using 'simple', it might help to describe exactly what you need. Anyone can have a different perception of what's simple, so clarity in your description after the fact can really help you get the best results.

If it’s for your business, try not to cut corners. Consider investing a small amount, like $5, for a decent server. I get that money is tight when starting out, but having a professional-looking domain is essential for gaining clients' trust. You can find cheap hosting plans starting around $2, but I recommend going for a VPS server at about $5/month and pairing that with a domain (domains can be as low as $0.99/year). This gives you control to install WordPress, use Elementor, and choose from plenty of free templates. Otherwise, a domain like companyname.someweirddomain.com won't inspire confidence. Plus, buying a domain means you can set up a free email @yourdomain with a platform like Zoho, which I personally use for my domain emails.

Honestly, for something simple, I'd skip the free site builders altogether. Instead, go for some affordable paid hosting options; it'll save you future headaches. I recommend NixiHost—they have shared hosting for around $6/month, which includes free email accounts, a cPanel dashboard, and support for custom domains. Their pricing has been stable for years with no hidden fees. It just gives so much more flexibility and reliability than typical free platforms, especially if you're looking to have a professional site that can grow with your business.
