I'm experiencing a frustrating problem with Remote Desktop on my Windows 11 PC where it says, "The number of connections to this computer is limited and all connections are in use right now." This has never happened before, and I have already disabled the limit on connections in the Local Group Policy Editor. I have a decent system if that matters. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Another option is to consider installing the Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH) if you need more concurrent sessions, which would require purchasing Client Access Licenses (CALs). Just be aware that this is a more advanced setup, but it could significantly increase your capacity for connections.
Make sure to check the current RDP sessions. You can do this by opening Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and navigating to the "Users" tab to see active sessions. You can disconnect any existing sessions from there. Keep in mind that the desktop version of Windows typically allows only one RDP connection at a time, so if you're using the Home edition, it may limit your options.
It sounds like there might be a stuck session. Windows 11 does have a limit on concurrent Remote Desktop connections; usually, it's only 2. A quick restart of your machine might clear up any stuck sessions and help resolve the issue.
