How can I restore my purchased apps from the App Store after a macOS reinstall?

Hey everyone! I recently had to do a fresh reinstall of my macOS, which meant erasing my entire disk. Now I'm having trouble downloading some apps that I previously purchased from the App Store; they just show up as available for purchase again. I can still see a receipt from 2019 for Pixelmator Pro, but it's not listed in my purchased apps on macOS. I've looked for support options, but I only find info about refunds and fraud instead of restoring missing purchased apps. Some of my other purchased apps are showing up fine, so I'm confused about why Pixelmator and Pixelmator Pro are missing. I didn't have this issue back in 2022 when I got my new Mac and downloaded them without a hitch. Is it possible that since Apple acquired Pixelmator, there are changes that affect my downloads?

Make sure you're logged in with the same Apple ID you used to buy the apps. Then check for any hidden purchases by going to Account > View My Account > Hidden Purchases. It's possible the apps are hidden somehow.

I checked, but it says I have no hidden purchases! I’m definitely using the same Apple ID.

Even if it shows 'purchase' instead of 'download,' try clicking on it to see what happens. Sometimes it won't show the 'you already own this' message until you actually attempt to buy it again.

I did try that, but it just prompts for my fingerprint to buy it again.
