My Samsung A52 has a broken screen, but I believe it's still functional aside from that. I want to recover some files from it, and I have access to a PC. I know my unlock pattern, but I might have trouble actually unlocking the phone since the display is damaged. Is there a way to extract those files?

A lot of people ask about this! Generally, the ability to access files after a screen breaks depends on whether you set up any form of remote access or screen mirroring beforehand. If you didn't, it's tough because getting into a broken screen phone can be a challenge. If you can’t see what you’re doing, you might need to consider getting the screen fixed to retrieve that data properly. If you have anything backed up externally, like on an SD card or in the cloud, that could make things easier, but internal storage without access is tricky.
First off, connect your phone to your PC. If the phone is indeed working, you might just need to tap on the screen where you believe the "accept" button is to allow file access. It could prompt you to unlock your phone, so just try to input your pattern as best as you can. Sometimes, once it's connected and unlocked, it might just allow access automatically without needing to see the screen at all.
Just wondering, do you have access to a Windows app like 'My Phone'? If you've used it before, you might be able to get into some data that way.
