How Can I Run .exe Files on My Mac Catalina?

Hey everyone! I've been trying to get a video game running on my Mac, but I'm stuck trying to figure out how to open a .exe file. I've heard about using Wine or Wine Bottler, but I haven't had any luck getting them downloaded. I recently found out it might be an issue with my operating system, which is Catalina. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to make this work?

Unfortunately, you can't run .exe files directly on a Mac because they are designed for Windows. You'd typically need an emulator like Wine to run them, but that can be tricky at times.

What exactly is a DMG file? I've seen that mentioned quite a bit.
