Hey folks! I'm in a bit of a situation here. I've got our local top-level domain sorted out, but I'm really eager to snag the .com as well. Currently, it's registered to a small business in the UK, and it redirects to their primary site, which is kind of a bare-bones page that's been under construction for ages. I've checked, and the business is still operational, but they don't seem to use that .com at all. The domain registration is set to expire in about a year. I'm wondering what's my best move here—should I just wait and see if they decide to renew in 2026? What happens if they don't? Can I jump in and grab it afterward? Or do you think it's worth reaching out to them with an offer to buy it? I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks!

Definitely consider reaching out to them! They might be open to selling the domain for a reasonable price. You never know unless you try!
True, but just keep in mind that their contact info might be protected, making it harder to reach them.
