I'm looking to create a single emergency contact number that can ring multiple mobile phones simultaneously when called. The goal is for this number to be used during charity events by volunteers. However, I want to avoid situations where a call goes to voicemail, as that would defeat the purpose of having an emergency line. I can't have all the users disable voicemail, install any software on their devices, or set them up in a closed messaging group. Additionally, I have a budget of up to £100 a year for this solution. I'd love to hear if anyone has tackled a similar problem or has suggestions that could work within these constraints!

It sounds like you might want to look into whether your PBX can support simultaneous ringing. You don't want a round-robin setup since you need all phones to ring at the same time. A DTMF tone function could help too—like pressing '1' to take the call—so it only connects to the person who answers. Most small business PBXs should be able to handle this setup without much fuss!

Absolutely, if you already have a PBX, configuring it properly should be smooth sailing. With the current push to VoIP due to PSTN changes in the UK, it's possible your system is already capable of this with the right settings.
