I'm new to the IT world working at a small startup, and I'm trying to establish remote access to our workstations located at a facility a few states away. All of them run Windows 11 Pro, just like my laptop. The facility has a dedicated fiber line and a static IP, plus I can use a Unifi gateway with teleport to connect. I've enabled remote desktop on both my laptop and the workstation I'm trying to access. However, after turning on the VPN, I can see my laptop on the network in the Unifi software, but when attempting to use remote desktop, I keep getting an error saying it can't find the computer. I would really appreciate any advice!

It sounds like your DNS settings might be the issue. Make sure you've set the right DNS provided by your internet provider for the facility. Double-check the network configurations since it can be easy to overlook sometimes. Need help with anything specific on this?
I remember getting a specific DNS from our provider, but I can't seem to recall what to do with it. Any tips?
