I've been struggling to get my super low-end PC to run smoothly and it's driving me nuts! I've followed so many tutorials that I've lost count - seriously, I've tried everything. My specs are as follows: AMD E2-7012 APU with AMD Radeon R2 Graphics at 1.50 GHz, 4 GB RAM (only 3.42 GB usable), and it runs a 64-bit operating system. Currently, even Google Chrome lags on this thing. Are there any hidden tricks or tweaks I can try to make this PC work better, or is it time to throw in the towel?

Adding more RAM and an SSD will definitely give a boost. But honestly, your CPU is quite dated. You might want to consider a low-end used PC. You can find decent ones for around $300 with much better specs.
Just a note, these specs suggest it’s from a laptop, which usually means very limited upgrade options. You might be better off saving up for a newer model instead of upgrading.
