How Can I Start Setting Up Linux on My Devices From Scratch?

Hello everyone! I'm new here and recently graduated. During my time studying, I took a course on OS fundamentals where I created a quirky driver for a mouse, but I'm eager to start fresh and learn properly. I've been diving into the Linux GitHub repository and the documentation, and I'm keen to become a contributor to the community after gaining a solid understanding of how everything works. I've read in a comment that the best way to learn is by building Linux from scratch on all of my devices. I currently use a MacBook Pro and have an old Dell G15 that dual-boots Windows and Ubuntu, which I mainly use for gaming. I'm looking for guidance on how to proceed with this setup since the documentation seems quite scattered. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

There's a resources page that could be really helpful for you! You might also want to check out some recent discussions on learning and research in the Linux community. One important tip is to take regular backups and try out your changes in a virtual machine first. It’s super important to understand every command before hitting Enter!
