I'm currently using Linux Mint but I'm interested in trying out Fedora. What are the steps I need to follow to switch to Fedora while keeping all my files intact? Are there specific directories I should back up, or is there anything else I need to do to ensure my data is safe? Thanks for your help!

You can try live booting Fedora first and mount your storage. This way, you can test it out without affecting your current setup. If you like it, then you can proceed with the installation and still have your data safe!

Make sure to check out some installation tips available online before you proceed. And remember Smokey's advice: it's best to install while connected to an ethernet cable, and don't forget to remove the boot media after installation! It helps prevent potential boot issues.

It's a good idea to keep your /home directory on its own partition or even a separate drive if you can. I’ve switched distros multiple times and only had to back up my /home folder—just make sure to include all hidden files and folders too!
