I'm thinking about making the jump from Windows 11 to Linux on my main laptop. I've tried a bunch of Linux distributions on an old laptop, but I'm concerned about losing my data during the switch. Also, are there any Linux distros that support Microsoft Teams?

First off, definitely back up your data before making the switch! That way, you won't have to worry about losing anything important. You can use tools like external hard drives or cloud storage services to keep your files safe. Just make sure you have a good backup routine so you're covered during the transition.

It looks like Microsoft discontinued support for Teams on Linux in 2022. You can use the web version, which works pretty well for most tasks, or there’s an unofficial client that wraps the web app into a standalone app. If you rely on Teams a lot, just let me know how that web version works for you!

Before you do anything, I’d suggest learning how to make proper backups. Even a simple copy of your essential files to an external drive or a cloud solution can save you a lot of headaches later. Once you have that sorted, data loss doesn't have to be a concern.
