I'm really frustrated with Windows and want to completely switch to Linux. I have a 4-year-old PC with both an SSD and an HDD, and I don't want to dual boot—I just want to wipe everything and start fresh with Linux. Is that possible? Do I need to erase the drives first and can I install Linux using an external hard drive? Any instructions or video guides would be super helpful!

Definitely check out Ubuntu's installation guide! It's straightforward and user-friendly. If you're going for Ubuntu, pick the latest Long Term Support (LTS) version for the best community help while you set things up. I suggest removing your HDD during the install to keep your old data safe and make the process smoother. After you're all set with Ubuntu, you can plug it back in. As a bonus, you can customize Ubuntu quite a bit to make it feel more like Windows.
