Hey everyone! I thought I deleted my default virtual network when I set up my first virtual machine, but it turns out I didn't. Now that I want to change the network settings on my VM (which is currently off), I'm not sure how to properly switch it over. I go to the network settings to attach a new network interface, but when I check the subnet options, the only one available is that pesky default one. I really want to connect my VM to a manually created subnet instead. I tried to detach the NIC first, but the option is greyed out. Can anyone guide me on the right steps to take?

It sounds like when you try to detach the NIC, it might be locked or in use. Make sure the VM is completely powered off. Sometimes there can be a bit of a delay in the changes reflecting on the interface. If it's still greyed out after that, double-check if there are any policies in place that prevent the change.
First, you'll want to remove the network interface card (NIC) from the VM. You typically do this from the VM settings where you manage the network settings. After you do that, you should be able to attach the NIC to your new virtual network without issue.
