I'm trying to transfer some photos from my iPhone 15 to a Seagate external drive, but I'm having a hard time figuring it out. I have a MacBook that I'm using as a bridge, but I can't seem to get it to work. Initially, I couldn't even create a new folder on the external drive, but after reformatting it to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), I can now create folders. However, the Photos app still won't let me drag photos from my iPhone to the external drive. I'm looking for a simple way to make this transfer happen!

You can connect the external drive straight to your iPhone via USB-C. Just ensure the drive is powered properly and formatted correctly. This method can save you a lot of time!
You can try this method: Open the Photos app, select the photos you want to transfer, then hit 'Share,' and choose 'Save to Files.' From there, you should be able to pick your external hard drive as the destination. Interestingly, you can also connect your iPhone directly to the Seagate external drive without needing your MacBook as an intermediary!
I didn't see a 'Save to Files' option after tapping 'Share.' It just didn't pop up for me. Any idea why?

I managed to do a direct transfer to the external drive! However, I'm wondering if there's a quicker way because I have around 15GB of photos.
