How Can I Turn On My Samsung Galaxy J2 After Months of Not Using It?

I bought a new phone a while back and put my old Samsung Galaxy J2 away. Now, 8 or 9 months later, I need to access some data from it, but it's not turning on like it used to. It was working perfectly fine before I switched it off! Could this be a battery issue or something wrong with the phone? I just need to power it on for about 10 to 15 minutes to retrieve my data. Any suggestions on how to get it to turn on?

Have you checked if it’s charging when you plug it in? If it's not, that's a clear sign it isn't getting any power.

First thing you should do is plug it into a charger and let it charge for a while. If the battery was completely dead, it might take some time before you even see the charging animation. If it still doesn’t turn on after that, you may need to consider replacing the battery.

Make sure you’re using a working charger. How long have you left it plugged in? It could take a bit before the phone responds if it's been dead for that long.
