How Can I Understand Python Scripts with No Coding Experience?

I have a few Python script files at work that I need to understand, but I have zero coding knowledge. I'm looking for AI tools or websites that can help explain this code clearly and easily. I've tried GPT, but I found the explanations lacking. I've heard about Claude—would that be better? Are there other options I can explore?

Why is your company asking you to work on this without any coding background? It seems like they should provide some training or resources to help you out.

I've had a good experience with Claude for understanding code snippets. It seems to explain things a bit clearer compared to others. Maybe give it a try! Like any tool, the output can depend on how you phrase your questions though.

I think the issue might not be the AI tool but rather your current level of understanding in programming. If you’re not familiar with the concepts, even the best tools won't make it click right away.

If you don't have coding knowledge, there's really no tool that can just explain Python scripts without some foundational learning first. It's like trying to read a book in a language you don’t speak. You should really start with the basics of programming and Python itself before diving into those scripts.

Honestly, switching AI tools isn't going to make a big difference unless you start learning some programming basics. If you have zero coding knowledge, that's the main barrier. You might want to look into beginner programming courses or tutorials online first to get a grasp on the fundamentals.
