Hey folks! I recently picked up an HP EliteBook MT43 thin client for just 5 bucks from Marktplaats (it's like the Dutch version of eBay), but I've hit a roadblock. The BIOS is password-protected and Secure Boot is enabled, so I can't install ChimeraOS. I've tried removing the CMOS and the regular battery for about 8 hours and even experimented with common passwords like PASS, 1234, and 123456. Unfortunately, I'm not able to use the biosbug tool since it doesn't display the required number. Any tips or tricks to help me remove the BIOS password would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Does the device boot up at all? If it does, you can bypass BIOS restrictions to some extent, but getting in is a whole different issue. If it's just the BIOS that's locked, it can be a challenge to unlock without the right passwords or keys.
You might want to reach out to the person you bought it from to see if they have the BIOS password. If they can't provide it, it could be tough getting into the BIOS.
Unfortunately, they don’t have it. They bought a bunch of these from a government sale without the SSDs or any passwords, then resold them.

Yeah, it does boot, but I'm locked out of the BIOS.
