Hey everyone! My PC has been great, but it seems like it's on its last legs, and I think the issue is either with the CPU or motherboard. Given that hardware prices are pretty high right now due to AI demand, I'm wondering how to approach this upgrade without breaking the bank. My current setup is a Ryzen 3700X, X570 motherboard, 32GB RAM, and a 2070 Super GPU, which I'm planning to keep. I mainly play older single-player games and use some demanding software for work, so I can't downgrade my RAM. Here are the routes I'm considering:
1. Buying used AM4 hardware like a 5900X and an X670, keeping my DDR4 RAM.
2. Investing in new tech like a 9800X3D and an X670 motherboard with 32GB of DDR5, even if it means spending more.
3. Any other suggestions? What's the best bang for my buck in this situation?

Honestly, you might want to consider selling your current PC and buying a new one if it’s really failing. You’d save yourself a lot of hassle in the long run!
If you’re not keen on a total overhaul, I’d recommend getting a B550 board with a 5600X. It’ll give you a solid performance boost without needing to replace everything. Since you’re keeping your GPU, it should suit your needs well!

But don't forget, you already have an X570 board. Switching to B550 might not be necessary and could even downgrade your setup.
