I just found my old Samsung tablet from when I was a kid, and it hasn't been online for over ten years. When I opened Instagram, I saw my old account that's been deleted for years—it shows my username and says I have '661 posts', but I can't actually see any of them because they aren't loaded. I'm really worried about connecting it to Wi-Fi for fear that the account will disappear once it updates. My main questions are if there's any way to retrieve the posts from whatever cached data is on the tablet, if I can access the data from the tablet's storage, and if there's a way to view the old layout of Instagram with comments and captions exactly as it was back then. It feels like a digital time capsule that I really don't want to ruin! Can anyone help me out?

Whatever you do, do not connect it to the internet! That’s your safest bet if you want to keep it as is.
Unfortunately, there’s really no way to get more data than what’s currently visible. If you want the posts back, maybe try reaching out to Instagram directly since you still own the account? Just keep in mind they might not have that data anymore.
Ah, I see. I’ll test my luck trying to get the data from Instagram directly, but I would assume the odds that they still have that data are slim to none. Thanks anyway for your help!!
Honestly, it’s likely that your tablet doesn’t actually have any of those posts stored beyond what you can see now. When a device's been off for that long, it probably didn’t keep a lot of data.
Heard that! Thank you for your help.

I figured. Thanks for the advice!
