I'm in a tough spot right now. Last year, I somehow ended up signed up for Microsoft 365 with an email that isn't even my main one — it's an old account I closed. Now, I'm getting charged over $100 for a subscription I never use and can't access because I don't remember the email credentials. I'm being billed regularly, and it's about to get pricier, which I can't afford right now. I've tried reaching out to tech support but they couldn't help. I also heard that my bank can't stop these payments either. I'm really at my wit's end and would appreciate any advice on how to cancel this subscription or contact someone who can help. Thanks!

You mentioned trying to reach customer support but had no luck. It can be a chore. If you're still struggling, there are community forums where users share similar issues and sometimes you can get faster responses there. Plus, make sure to check Microsoft’s official website for a support email.
I hear you, that sounds really frustrating. To start, I recommend sending a cancellation request to Microsoft directly. They usually have a support page where you can submit requests. Also, try contacting your bank again about disputing the charges; they might have a different method to assist you. If things get too grim, you could also consider closing that bank account to prevent further charges. And yeah, looking into free alternatives like LibreOffice could save you some hassle moving forward!
Do you happen to have any way to recover access to that old email? Sometimes providers have recovery options that might work. If not, you're really left with directly reaching out to Microsoft or looking into how to file a formal complaint regarding these unwanted charges. Crazy how some subscriptions slip through the cracks like that!
Unfortunately, I can't access that old email at all. It was auto-filled from my keychain, and I've disabled it. Looks like I’ll have to stick to contacting Microsoft.

That's a solid idea! I hadn’t thought about disputing the charges directly with the bank, but if it’s not authorized, it’s worth a shot.
