I've got a Plus subscription and I'm seeing a ton of different models to choose from—7 in total. Here's what I found: GPT-4o is the default, then there's o3, o4 mini, and o4 mini high. There are also some hidden options: GPT-4.5, GPT-4.1, and GPT-4.1 mini. I'm confused about which one would work best for non-coding tasks. I even tried asking ChatGPT itself, but it claims some of these models aren't real! Can someone help me figure this out?

I really like GPT-4.1! It's noticeably faster and gives way better answers compared to GPT-4o, even if you use the same prompt. That said, GPT-4o is a solid choice if you want something more versatile for general tasks. What kinds of tasks do you usually use ChatGPT for?
For most of my tasks, I prefer using o3. It’s a bit slower, but it's super helpful for non-coding stuff like troubleshooting at work.
I use it for all sorts of things! Sometimes I need help summarizing info, writing, or even finding a formula for Excel. I also ask for advice like recommending a golf club based on my distances or just to vent and get feedback on personal stuff. It's basically my go-to for all kinds of random inquiries!
