I've just gotten my first gaming PC at 33 years old after being stuck in the iMac world for most of my life. I currently have a 32-inch curved UHD monitor, which is great after moving from a 27-inch iMac. I'm restoring my iMac to give it to my friend who's still using a 2012 MacBook Air, so it's a nice upgrade for her. Now, I love how two monitors look side by side on my desk!
I'm considering getting another monitor, probably a 27-inch, but I'm wondering if the two screens will work separately. Will I be able to do different things on each monitor, or will they just mirror each other? I want them to act as independent displays so I can multitask. Also, I'm running a setup with a 9800 x3d and 9070 xt combo. Any tips on making this work?

You can definitely set them up both ways! If you're using Windows, head to the display settings and look for the option to 'extend these displays.' This will let you use your two monitors as one large desktop, or you can choose to mirror them if you want. Just make sure you have the right connections on your graphics card!
They’ll be separate if you set them up correctly. Just plug both monitors into your graphics card, then in Windows, go to display settings and make sure to select 'extend' instead of 'duplicate.' This way, you can have different apps open on each monitor!
Thanks for the help! I really want to maximize my productivity.
