I'm having an issue with my PC where I'm noticing some performance limits, specifically related to the IA and Ring limits. This is happening even when I'm idling. My Cinebench 2024 score has dropped from over 2000 a few months ago to struggling around 1800 now, and I'm not sure why. I've updated my BIOS recently and swapped my RAM from Corsair Vengeance to Corsair Dominator Titanium, but I'm not sure if either of those changes could be causing these performance issues. My setup includes an MSI z790 Edge WiFi motherboard, an i7-147000K CPU, an RTX 5080 GPU, and 64GB of Corsair Dominator Titanium RAM. My CPU temperatures are fine, idling around 33°C and running Cinebench in the high 70s to low 80s. I haven't made any significant changes to my BIOS settings aside from adjusting performance modes and enabling XMP for the RAM running at 6600Mhz. Before I consider overclocking, I want to ensure my system is performing as expected at stock settings. If anyone has insights or troubleshooting tips, I'd greatly appreciate it!

You should definitely consider installing Intel XTU since it's better at visualizing your CPU's performance than HWinfo. If you're hitting the EDP limit before running into power or thermal issues and your CPU is managing your targeted clock speeds, that sounds normal. Just make sure you're not triggering the CEP. The recent microcode update may have led to higher voltages and slightly elevated temperatures, which can result in lower clock speeds since your CPU might be hitting that current limit first. A few adjustments can help: try offsetting voltage by -0.1v, aim for an all-core boost of 5.6 GHz, and enable high-performance mode for your RAM. Also consider tweaking your current limits for the CPU and ensuring your cooling settings are optimal.
I’m curious about your mention of the IA and Ring limits. You might find better help from an overclocking community since many here might not be familiar with those specific terms. However, if your RAM frequency is set too high, it can lead to memory correction issues, which could be affecting your performance. Try lowering your RAM frequency a bit to see if that helps!

I understand what you're saying. Just to clarify, I'm not overclocking at the moment; however, I’ll consider adjusting the RAM frequency to see if it improves performance. Thanks for the tip!
