I just finished installing Arch Linux using the archinstall script, but now I'm stuck. I've logged in and find myself in a terminal, unsure of how to actually run Arch Linux or get started with it. Can someone guide me on what to do next?

When using the archinstall script, you should have selected a profile. If you followed a tutorial that didn't mention profiles, it could be outdated and lead to these issues. Make sure to check the official Arch Wiki next time you install for the most accurate guidance!

Consider installing EndeavourOS instead. It’s essentially Arch with a desktop environment included, which can make things a lot easier if you're new to Linux. You'll get a more user-friendly experience right from the start!

Welcome to Arch! You're actually in Arch now, but it doesn't come with a graphical user interface (GUI) by default. If you want a desktop environment (DE) or window manager (WM), you'll need to install that yourself. A good option is to try out EndeavourOS, which is based on Arch but comes with a DE and a few extra conveniences.

Have you looked into alternative distros like Linux Mint or CachyOS? They can be more user-friendly, especially if you're worried about potential hiccups with Arch Linux. If you want a smooth introduction to Linux, those might be worth your time!
