I recently got a pop-up from Symantec Endpoint Protection saying it detected a trojan within its own files. When I checked the quarantine folder, I noticed it had an overwhelming 150,000 files and 75,000 folders, taking up about 66.9 gigabytes on my disk. I tried to delete this folder, but it asked for system permission, which I was granted at first, but then it said the permission was canceled. I also attempted to use LockHunter to delete the files, but due to the folder's size, I couldn't select individual files, and my computer froze. Should I go ahead and delete these files, or is it better to leave them quarantined? Is this kind of situation normal? The files have names like 00A0062 and end with .vbn.

You actually don't need to worry about deleting those files manually. You can clear out the quarantined files directly using Symantec. Just follow this link for the steps: [How to delete quarantined items from Symantec](https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/151678/how-to-delete-quarantined-items-from-the.html).

I tried deleting from Symantec too, but the app crashed when I attempted to delete one file. Any tips if that happens?
