Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on how to help my mom with her iPhone. She's got an iPhone 15 running iOS 18.41, but she's overwhelmed because her contacts list is a massive mess with about 12,000 entries, many of which are duplicates. She tried getting help from someone who claimed they could fix it, but nothing seems to have changed.
She also hasn't managed to connect her laptop to her phone, so I need some straightforward instructions for her to follow. Can anyone suggest an easy way for her to delete duplicates or connect her laptop? I'd really appreciate any tips!

If she's open to it, it's worth checking this Apple support link: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/iphone/iph2ab28320d/ios. It has info that might guide her through managing her contacts better or connecting her laptop to her iPhone. Good luck!
You can start by going to the Contacts app directly and deleting duplicates manually. I know it's a hassle with that many contacts, but that’s usually the most straightforward way if she doesn't have a specialized app to do it. It might be worth looking into some third-party apps designed for merging contacts, too!
Is doing it manually the only way? I feel like there has to be a faster method!
Thanks, I’m going to try this!
