How do I install software on Linux Mint?

I just started using Linux Mint and I'm a bit lost on how to install applications. I figured out how to run .exe files with Wine, but some programs like Bluestacks won't open for me. At the moment, I'm trying to download a fan control application. The one I used on Windows called 'Fan Control' doesn't seem to work here. I tried CoolerControl, but the terminal keeps saying 'Unable to locate package' when I follow the download instructions. Is there an easier way to install fan control software for Linux, or any quick fixes for these issues?

It might help to start using the software center for your installations. Try finding a Linux alternative instead of running .exe files through Wine. Using Bottles could also be a better option if you really need Windows applications.

You're trying to treat Linux like Windows, which can lead to confusion. Each OS works differently. Focus on finding Linux-native alternatives in the Software Center rather than relying on Wine for everything. It'll give you a smoother experience.

I think the videos I watched oversimplified the process. I expected everything to be in the Software Manager, too, but some apps like OpenRazor didn’t show up, which is frustrating.
