I'm curious if this outage is one of the largest AWS has experienced globally. Has anyone else noticed issues? What services are affected?

I heard from a guy at a marketing agency in Kuwait that Asana and Shutterstock were affected, so it sounds like it's affecting quite a mix of platforms worldwide. Kind of a mess right now!
Seems like it’s hitting popular apps hard. DownDetector is alive with complaints.
AWS had a funny release about the outage mentioning that it might’ve had something to do with an AI misnaming servers. It feels more like a serious architecture issue based on what I’m seeing, although the humor in it is hard to ignore! Anyone got further updates?
Haha, the AI joke was hilarious! But really, I think they need to rethink some of their naming conventions.
Agreed! Let’s just hope we get some solid fixes out from them soon.
This isn't the first time we've seen a core service in us-east-1 cause a widespread issue. It's a solid reminder of how interconnected all these services are, though not all locations seem affected at once. How are others managing?
Totally! Anytime us-east-1 has issues, it seems to ripple through the entire network. It's kind of wild.
Right? It makes you wonder about AWS’s failover strategies.
It seems like the main problems are traced back to us-east-1. A lot of services are down, but it's not all regions. I’ve seen reports that stuff in Frankfurt and Sydney is still up. Anyone else experiencing issues?
Yeah, everything is fine here in Frankfurt too. Just goes to show how some regions are more resilient.
Things were working fine for us in Sydney as well during the outage.

Yep, similar issues here in the UK too. Ironically, even the downtime has been a hot topic on social media!
