Hey everyone! I recorded an MP4 file using OBS, but I can't seem to play it back. I recently did a full reinstall of my computer and realized I might be missing some codecs. I recorded using H.264, but I'm having trouble finding the codec I need online. Can anyone guide me on how to fix this?

Try downloading the CCCP codec pack. It's completely free and has a lot of codecs that you might be missing!

Oh cool, thanks! I didn't think of looking for a package. Appreciate your help!

I usually grab a free codec pack that's well recommended online. It saves me from searching for specific codecs that I might need occasionally. Just do a quick Google search for the best ones available right now!

Isn't VLC player enough nowadays? A few years ago, I used to need codec packs, but I thought VLC played everything. Just a thought!

Yeah, I tried using VLC, but it didn't work for this file. I definitely still need the codec, especially since I edit videos.
