I'm attempting to perform a clean install of Windows 11 using a USB drive, but I'm getting stuck at the partition selection step. I've done some homework and read various threads, but as someone who's not very tech-savvy, I'm still a bit lost.
Right now, I'm at the "Select location to install Windows 11" screen. I've deleted all the partitions that I could, but I still see three options remaining where the delete partition button is greyed out:
1. **Disk 0 Unallocated Space** - 953GB
2. **Disk 1 Partition 1: ESD-USB** - 24.2GB free out of 32GB total
3. **Disk 1 Unallocated** - 25.3GB
I think I don't need to delete anything further since those appear to be my USB drive and unallocated space, correct? Should I set up a new partition on Disk 0 for the Windows 11 install? I want to avoid mistakenly installing it to the Disk 1 Partition since that's my USB, right? By the way, I'm working with an ASUS ROG Zeph G14 GA401IV gaming laptop and I've backed up all my important files to an external hard drive that's not connected right now. My USB drive only contains Windows 11 and a few drivers.

To get this sorted, just select Disk 0 and format it. After that, you can download Windows 11 directly to that space. Also, if you're looking for detailed instructions, there’s a great FAQ post in this subreddit that covers how to download and install Windows.
Thanks a lot! I completed the installation! I did check out the tutorial, but I feel like I’m at a grandma level of tech know-how. I kept reading that all partitions needed to be deleted and wasn’t sure if I was fine with the USB partition.
