I recently read that renewing my AZ-104 certification is easier than taking the initial exam. Since my certification isn't expired yet, can anyone confirm if I just need to sign up for the exam again? Also, will I need to pay for it? Can I take the test from home without a proctor?

You'll get an email reminder about 6 months before your certification expires. The renewal test is available online, and there's no fee to renew. Plus, it's an open book exam, making it a lot simpler! You can start the process on the Microsoft Learn site.
If you need more guidance, there's a video by John Savill that explains the renewal process in detail. Definitely worth checking out!
Saved comment. Thanks!
You don't have to pay anything for the renewal, and yes, you can do it from home without a proctor. It's all super convenient!
This is good news, thanks!
Key points to remember:
- No payment needed
- Start the renewal process 6 months before expiry
- No proctor required
- It's an easy exam, so you got this!
- You can retake it daily if needed. Just make sure you complete it before your certification expires!
Yeah. This is my mindset. I need to go and get it done. Thanks!
Interesting, my renewal was not proctored.
Nice, thanks!
